Michael Lindeman was born in Sydney in 1973 and attained a Master of Fine Arts from the University of New South Wales, College of Fine Arts. He has participated in several studio residencies including the International Studio & Curatorial Program, New York and the Australia Council for the Arts Los Angeles studio. Lindeman has also been the recipient of numerous awards such as the 2010 Sir John Sulman Prize, Art Gallery of New South Wales and The Australian Post Graduate Award.
